How to get to Clonabreany House

Directions from Dublin
  1. From the M50 take the N3 exit for Cavan.
  2. Stay in lane directing you towards N3 Cavan.
  3. Drive 9.8km and then continue onto the M3.
  4. Drive 43.6km and then continue onto the N3.
  5. Drive 6.9km taking the 2nd exit on the roundabout on N3 (note: N52 is first exit).
  6. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R163.
  7. Continue on the R163 for 4.4km.
  8. Turn left at the signpost for Crossakiel.
  9. At Crossakiel village continue straight ahead (the handball alley and Jim O’Connell memorial on your right hand side)
  10. Continue ahead, along a south westerly tree lined road going down hill to Ardglassan Crossroads (approx 0.9 km) and turn right at this junction (note: white cottage on right hand side).
  11. Travel 2.2km past Ardglassan Cottages and take the first right turn.
  12. Clonabreany Courtyard is on your left hand side, approximately 500 metres from the junction.

Directions from Oldcastle
  1. Drive down Millbrook Road from the Town centre on the R195, approximately 2.25 km and turn Left at Millbrook Foods.
  2. Pass Loughcrew Gardens on your right hand side. Take the first Right turn after Loughcrew Gardens and continue 2.1 km to Galleastown Cross.
  3. Turn Left at Galleastown Cross and drive 0.8km to a “Y” junction, where you keep Left.
  4. Continue on this road for 3.2km until you reach Clonabreany Graveyard. Take the first Left after the Graveyard and Clonabreany Courtyard is on your left hand side approximately 500 metres from the junction.

Directions from Mullingar
  1. From the centre of Mullingar take the N52 towards Kells, passing through Delvin and Clonmellon. This is a distance of approximately 27 km.
  2. Continue on the N52 from Clonmellon to Johnsbrook Cross, a distance of 3.5km. At Johnsbrook Cross turn Left onto the R154 towards Oldcastle. This junction is signposted to Oldcastle.
  3. Continue Northwest on the R154 to Kilskyre and on to Crossakiel.
  4. At Crossakiel turn Left at the old Cosy Corner pub and travel along tree lined road going down hill to Ardglassan Crossroads (approx 0.9 km) and then turn right at this junction (note: white cottage on right hand side).
  5. Travel 2.2km past Ardglassan Cottages and take the first right turn.
  6. Clonabreany Courtyard is on your left hand side, approximately 500 metres from the junction.
