Clonabreany Food & Catering

The food and Catering at Clonabreany House will be cooked personally and overseen exclusively by Euro-toques chef Gerard Meade. He is a prominent local chef from Navan with twenty five years experience in hotels and restaurants both in Ireland and abroad.
Having trained in leading Irish restaurants of the 1980's, Le Coq Hardi and Whites on the Green, he went on to work in London , Australia, Canada, Belgium and six years in France. He returned to Ireland and has been head chef for Madison Avenue Event Services, formerly one of Ireland's premier five star private event businesses, where he cooked large banquets, society weddings and gourmet dinner parties and buffet receptions for a wide range of prestigious clients from foreign royalty, international celebrities and ambassadors to industrial and corporate figures, the church and government.

                  

His cooking style specialises in supporting local Irish food suppliers and therefore using fresh high level produce, in season and in line with the ethos of Euro-Toques, the European Community of Chefs, with which he has been a member since 1998.

Local B&B owners will drop or collect guests on arrangement to or from Clonabreany House also.

Church of St. Alphonsus, Kilskyre

The Church was built in 1847 as a Famine Relief Measure. It was designed by J.J. McCarty, a student of Pugin. It replaced an earlier Church which was located in the grove between the present Church and the Parochial House.

Crossakiel, County Meath

Crossakiel in 1837 was a post town containing 200 inhabitants on the road from Kells to Oldcastle. There were at that time about 60 houses in the village. The parochial church is described as a handsome structure with a loft spire.
