My brother and sister in law told me of their wedding venue a number of months ago, they also told me it would be a buffet wedding. I had neither heard of Clonabreany House nor been to a buffet wedding before so these were both firsts for me. I was somewhat sceptical of the outcome.
I went to Clonabreany the day before the wedding to familiarise myself with the venue , I met some of the management and staff who were very pleasant and actually sorted out a little problem I had the day before the wedding ,which was of great help to me. I was very impressed with this bespoke wedding venue after the tour around the buildings and was looking forward to the big day.
The next day for me (as best man) was a very busy and long day but the exceptional assistance I received from all the staff from the moment I arrived until we left the next afternoon was excellent. There were NO issues they couldn't resolve for us.
Food: The starter was served with military precision, the buffet was relaxed and afforded the bride and groom extra time to mingle with their guests, the food was excellent with traditional options available as well as a Thai chicken curry and a lamb tagine with salads and vegetarian options. There were seconds available to all who could manage seconds and again desert was served with precision, I cannot remember a more relaxed and enjoyable wedding meal.
Accommodation: A courtyard accommodation block was situated a short distance from the main house with room for 84 guests subdivided into 10 separate houses all finished to a very high standard. There was 24 hour security on the accommodation block
Breakfast: full Irish breakfast was served (from 10 o clock on) , again in a relaxed and comfortable environment with lots of tea and coffee to catch up on the previous day .
One of our party lost their car keys and almost immediately a car was provided to go to Cavan town to get the spare set.
This sums up Clonabreany House, they are totally committed to ensuring everyone has a great and memorable time. I cannot speak highly enough of all the management and staff of Clonabreany house. I highly recommend the Clonabreany Experience.

I just wanted to take this time to write to you and tell you what an amazing day we had, and to compliment your fantastic staff. Firstly the weather was on our side and the sun shone down on us for the whole weekend, which added to the spectacular views around, which we could take in from outside the main house. The staff greeted us with champagne and canapés, which were plentiful. Dinner was fabulous and again plenty of staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Your Venue is just amazing. At first when Janet told us she booked a house (and not the traditional hotel) I must admit I was a bit dubious about it and how it would work but it exceeded my expectations by a mile and I was so pleasantly surprised by her choice. I had never heard of Clonabreany House and now I have no hesitation in recommending your Venue to anyone who is thinking of getting married. Also your accommodation is unbelievable; I know Janet booked out every bed in the place and everyone commented on how comfortable they were and again pleasantly surprised, beautiful surroundings and modern decor. So, on that note I’d like to say a huge thank you for making my sister’s day amazing and to all her guests who had a fantastic time and cannot fault anything.

After holding our wedding reception in Clonabreany House, my Husband and I really can't recommend it highly enough. We had an absolutely perfect day, as did all our guests who absolutely loved the privacy and uniqueness of the venue and how different and intimate it was compared to a hotel, and also how the area is steeped in great history with fabulous areas for pictures. We had no problems whatsoever during the run up to, or on the day, and Katie really couldn't do enough for us, no question was too big or too small and she really makes you feel at ease. We actually had another venue booked but cancelled it when we seen Clonabreany, just fell in love with it straight away! We had complete control of our day and could really make it our own, with unlimited choices and options on everything from the food to décor. A truly fantastic venue!
